1. Who we are

Good Side (www.goodsideph.com) is an online classifieds website for the Philippines. Good Side is the personal information controller for the data described here. We follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.

2. What data we collect

Account: your email address, used to send you a sign-in link.
Listings: title, description, price, category, location (city), photos and the date you posted.
Seller contact: the phone number, Viber number or Facebook link you choose to give buyers.
Reports: when you report a listing, we record that your account reported it.
Technical data: your IP address, browser type and request logs, kept by our hosting providers for security.
On your device: your sign-in session and your language choice are saved in your browser's storage. We do not use advertising cookies today. If we add Facebook (Meta) advertising tools later, we will update this policy first.

Please do not put sensitive personal information (IDs, health, religion, bank details) in your listings.

3. Why we use it

to let you sign in and manage your listings (to perform our service to you);
to show your listings to visitors and let buyers contact you (with your consent, given when you post);
to fight scams and abuse, and to keep the site secure (our legitimate interest);
to process payments for paid features, when available (to perform the service you buy);
to meet legal obligations, for example a lawful request from Philippine authorities.

4. Who can see it

Everyone: your listings (title, description, price, city, photos, date). Your email is never shown.
Signed-in users only: your seller contact, and only when they click "Message the seller" on your listing.
Our service providers, who process data only on our instructions: Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage, servers in Singapore) and Vercel (website hosting). Your data may therefore be stored outside the Philippines, with security measures equivalent to Philippine standards.
Authorities, only when the law requires it.

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

5. How long we keep it

Your listing and its photos stay online until you delete the listing or mark it as sold. Deleting a listing also deletes its photos and its seller contact. Your account data is kept while your account exists. Technical logs are kept for a short period by our providers. Data needed for legal or tax purposes (for example payment records) is kept as long as the law requires.

6. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct it, to object, to have it erased or blocked, to data portability, and to claim damages. You can delete your listings yourself at any time. For any other request, including deleting your account, contact us (see below). We answer within a reasonable time. You can also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

7. Security

Connections to Good Side are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the database is restricted by security rules, and seller contacts are stored separately from listings. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.

8. Children

Good Side is not meant for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. For questions or to exercise your rights, send a message to the Good Side Facebook Page.
